ICR and the Titanic Belfast Learning and Outreach Team conducted a research project aimed at evaluating the accessibility of the Titanic Quarter to BME communities residing in Northern Ireland. It is well known that Titanic Belfast has developed into a world renowned tourist destination, bringing in people from all over the world. Lesser known is the accessibility, interest/disinterest and/or reluctance of the BME community living in Northern Ireland to visit the area. ICR sought responses from members of the BME community living within Greater Belfast, as well as from a range of community organisations within the city and participants from the Causeway Coast and Glen Council areas. The bulk of research was conducted based on information collected over 3 days-worth of events facilitated by ICR and the Outreach Team, which incentivised community groups to bring new visitors to Titanic Belfast and share in the rich and diverse history of the Titanic Quarter.
