ICR were proud to be involved in the Southern Indian Festival of Onam with colleagues and residents of the Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council area organised by ICR and Kerala Beats.

Women and Legacy: uncertainty, austerity and change. ICR co facilitated a round table with Baroness Shami Chakrabarti at the Equality Commission on August 5th . A follow up occasional paper presents views in relation to the holistic civil, human, social, reproductive and cultural rights of women and of legacy issues in contemporary Northern Ireland prompted by the absence of a functioning Assembly.

 

LCCC BME Intercultural Friendship Group launch of ‘Peaceful Tummies, Peaceful Neighbours’ recipe book 04/08/19 as part of the Eastside Arts Fesitval

“Peaceful Tummies, Peaceful Neighbours” is a publication devised by an intercultural group of residents and business people living in the Northern Ireland area of Lisburn and Castlereagh for whom building positive relations is the over-arching theme of their work together. This was part of the ICR contribution to the Eastside Arts Festival 2019. We were delighted to have been joined by Netflix celebratory chef Asma Khan.

International Trip with Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council to Krakow 23/05/19-26/05/19

ICR were proud to bring 24 participants on an international learning experience looking at commemoration and reconciliation with the past on behalf of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
