is the new name for an organisation that has conducted a number of
significant pieces of research under other names in the past.
Templegrove
Action Research (1994-96) conducted a two-year investigation into
segregation and population movement in Derry Londonderry and organised
a series of public discussions on sectarian division immediately after
the 1994 ceasefires.
The
Cost of the Troubles Study (1996-99) compiled and analysed a database
of all deaths due to the conflict from 1969 onwards, conducted a survey
of the population of Northern Ireland to examine their experience
of the Troubles and the effects it has had on them. The project produced
several publications, a touring exhibition and a video.
Community
Conflict Impact on Children (1999-2001) conducted in-depth interviews
and a survey of young people in Northern Ireland, organised conferences
in South Africa and Northern Ireland and the visit to Northern Ireland
by the UN Secretary Generals Special Representative of with
responsibility for Children and Armed Conflict.
