Working with local schools, women’s groups and community organisations in the Lisburn & Castlereagh area, ICR has delivered a series of workshops in which participants have worked alongside established artists to create art works in a range of mediums. These pieces, which celebrate the history and culture of the council area, are intended for public display. The project will culminate in two cross-community, cross-cultural events incorporating all workshop participants. The programme aims to foster better relations between the two main traditions in Northern Ireland, as well as build more understanding of and between BME cultures and identities.
