ICR uses photography to stimulate discussion and encourage reflection in order to build skills and help people better understand their world, as well as their neighbours.
We work with community artists and photo journalists in the creation of exhibitions which, in turn, are used to encourage discussions and panel presentations in galleries, museums, libraries and other public spaces.
Working with Photographer, Mariusz Smejek, we collaborate with both the John Hewitt Society and Belfast City of Sanctuary to raise awareness of and show comparisons between the social conditions and service provision provided to asylum seekers and refugees throughout Ireland and Italy.
Poetry and Place
Working with photographer, Mariusz Smiejek, the “Daily Lives” exhibition and accompanying booklet were launched at the Market Place Theatre in Armagh to raise awareness of and show comparisons between the social conditions and service provision provided to asylum seekers, refugees and undocumented migrants throughout Ireland and Italy.
