Working as part of a consortium with the Building Communities Resource Centre and the Corrymeela Community, ICR is helping to deliver the Causeway Community Integration Project with the following aims:
- To work and support the BME community within the CCGBC area by developing and building capacity amongst organisations that represent culturally diverse communities in the CCGBC area;
- To support and develop host “indigenous” communities alongside BME/Migrant/new communities to support and improve integration and established particular BME groups based on needs of areas;
- To examine the impact and value of the International Community of students at Ulster University as well as the “openness & welcoming” attitude of local people to the population while developing strategies to curb instances of racism and prejudice in the triangle area.
